1. Summary

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable — but EU/EEA and UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw.

  • You can cancel at any time in the App’s subscription settings, or by emailing support@ezobooks.in. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Payments are handled by PhonePe or Cashfree in a secure in-app payment flow — not through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app billing.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where applicable mandatory law requires a refund.
  • EU/EEA and UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal — see Section 5 and Section 6, and the model withdrawal form.
Where this comes from

This policy sets out how Section 9 (Subscriptions, Fees, Billing, and Cancellation) of the End User License Agreement is applied in practice, together with the regional consumer rights in Sections 29.2, 30.2 and 32.2 of that Agreement. Where this page and the Agreement differ, the Agreement governs.

2. How subscriptions are billed

  1. 2.1Paid plans. Certain features require a paid Subscription. Prices, features, and billing cycles are shown in the App at the time of purchase.
  2. 2.2Payment processing. Subscriptions are purchased through a secure in-app payment flow. Payments are processed by PhonePe or Cashfree (or such other payment processor as shown at checkout) and are not processed through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app billing. You are subject to the applicable payment processor’s terms presented at the time of purchase.
  3. 2.3Automatic renewal. Unless stated otherwise, Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged, until cancelled.
  4. 2.4Taxes. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales/use tax, or equivalent) unless stated; you are responsible for any such taxes.
  5. 2.5Price changes. We may change fees prospectively with notice as required by law; changes apply from the next billing cycle.

3. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time, in either of these ways:

  • Through the App’s subscription management settings; or
  • By contacting us at support@ezobooks.in.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access to paid features until then, and your subscription does not renew after that.

Consistent with applicable automatic-renewal and subscription laws (including California’s Automatic Renewal Law and equivalent statutes in other jurisdictions), renewal terms, pricing, and cancellation instructions are presented before purchase.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel the subscription first, then delete your account — see Account Deletion.

4. Refunds

Except where required by applicable mandatory law — including the EU/EEA and UK 14-day withdrawal rights described below — fees are non-refundable.

Refund requests may be submitted through the App or by contacting support@ezobooks.in.

Nothing in this policy limits any right to a refund that you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.

5. EU/EEA right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you generally have the right to withdraw from a paid purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

5.1 How to withdraw

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement before the 14-day period expires. You may:

  • email support@ezobooks.in with a clear statement of withdrawal; or
  • use the model withdrawal form in Section 8 (its use is optional).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

5.2 Exception — digital content and services supplied immediately

Please note

For digital content or services supplied immediately, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun, to the extent permitted by law. This consent is requested at the point of purchase.

5.3 Effects of withdrawal

Where a valid withdrawal applies, we will reimburse the payments received from you without undue delay, using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

6. UK right to cancel (14 days)

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 applies to paid purchases, subject to the same immediate-performance waiver described in Section 5.2 above.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — that digital content be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described — are unaffected by this policy.

7. Purchases via an app store

NearSearch subscriptions are normally purchased in-app through PhonePe or Cashfree, not through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app billing.

Where an app store, in a given country, provides its own mandatory refund, cancellation, or consumer-dispute process, that process is available to you in addition to the rights described on this page. Where a purchase was made through an app store, that store’s own withdrawal/refund process may apply, and you should raise the request with the store.

8. Model withdrawal form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Its use is optional — any clear statement of withdrawal is sufficient.
