“I was a cancer patient suffering from Colone Cancer. I was operated by Dr Shailesh Shrikhande at Tata memorial Hospital after going through treatment of Radiation and Chemo Therapy. This was done in October 2015. After the first surgery a Stoma bag was attached and this was there for more than 6 months. In May 2016 , I was asked whether you would like to continue with stoma bag or would you like to remove the same to have normal motions. The Doctor informed me that there is no guarantee as how much time it will take to have normal motions. I opted for surgery to remove stoma bag and underwent this surgery . There was no medicine that would work against diarrhea that I used to suffer from except Imodium capsules which I used frequently. I used to wear diapers while going out of the house. This went on for several months and no other medicines would work. I tried Ayurvedic medicines but it was not very helpful. So I discontinued this. I wrote about my sufferings on Facebook to let the others know about sufferings. I used to go Tata Hospital regularly for check ups continuously, but there was no remedy. Through Sugam Sangeet Spardha where i was involved, I came across Dr Shreyasi Apte who was one of the prize winners and we discussed my problems and decided to start her treatment with Homeopathy about two and half years back. I was taking her treatment through WhatsApp messages to her and followed her instructions meticulously to take her medicines as advised by her. I used to be in touch with her even when I was abroad and follow her advice for medicines recommended by her. After nearly 6 years I feel that I am nearing normalcy about my motions. I am sure it will never be 100 %, but after going through Pet Scan and Colonoscopy, the results were sent to Dr. Shailesh Shrikhande who stated that there is now no need to go Tata Hospital for any checkups. i would express my gratitude and thanks to Dr Shreyasi for her continued support to me in this entire help and advice she gave me during the last many years that I feel that I am achieving normalcy. I feel Shreyasi is my daughter the way she has been with me all these years and continues to be my Doctor for ever.”
